Caregiving

Do you or a loved one need assistance with the tasks of daily living? Are you fed up with feeling stressed out and overwhelmed? Caregiving may be the answer. Care Around the Block offers two types of caregiving: Traditional and task-based, which means no hourly minimums.

Traditional

Our traditional Care Partners are highly trained, professional, and supervised by Care Managers. Care Partners can be booked in increments of 4 hours up to 24 hours a day.

Care Partners can help with tasks such as:

  • Bathing

  • Dressing

  • Hygiene

  • Meal Prep

  • Eating

  • Light housekeeping

  • Pet care

  • Companionship

  • Errands

Our Care Partners' goals are to promote safety, maintain dignity, and enhance quality of life.

Task-Based Caregiving Through CAB Club

For clients in select areas, we offer task-based caregiving through CAB Club. This means you schedule and receive services by the task, not by the hour. Only need a quick shower? No problem. Does Fido need a walk? We'll be there in no time.

Our Care Partners offer the same high-quality level of care as traditional caregiving, but you only receive the care you want when you want it. Many individuals who benefit from in-home caregiving don't need a Care Partner for multiple hours, so this service requires no minimums.

Those who hold off on hiring a caregiver often experience:

  • Elevated stress levels

  • Loss of social interaction

  • For family caregivers, being the sole caregiver can often

cause extensive time off work taking care of loved ones

Those who decide a Care Partner is right for them can:

  • Age in place

  • Maintain independence and dignity

  • Save money by aging at home instead of a facility

  • Receive the appropriate level of care at every season of life

"I will definitely recommend CAB to anyone needing assistance with an elderly loved one. I had no idea initially how helpful having an advocate could be. Michelle has basically helped me get through the past two months while my mother was in the process of dying. The resources that are available within CAB, like the mental assessments, are great, too. That helped us assess where Mom was as we moved towards the placement in assisted living. The CAB staff was able to do things with my mother that I would have never been able to do." -Ruth Cook
