Care Around the Block (CAB) was born from a deep understanding of the challenges faced by aging individuals.
Founded by Mary Wegman, whose personal experience caring for her grandmother living with dementia ignited a lifelong dedication to senior care, CAB offers compassionate and professional services. Originally focusing solely on care management via our parent company Choices in Senior Care, CAB expanded to include caregiving services in response to Mary noticing a need for more reliable caregivers in the area.
Today, our team is committed to providing holistic and innovative care tailored to each individual, ensuring the highest level of comfort and independence throughout life's seasons.
Awards & Affiliations
In order to fulfill our mission, we believe our Care Managers must be experts in the field of senior care. Our Care Managers complete requirements of education, experience, standards of practice, and more to be certified in Aging Life Care®. Their 8 Areas of Expertise, Code of Ethics, and Standards of Practice guide our care philosophy of being partners in an exceptional aging journey.

CAB is honored to have won the Top 100 in Experience award from Home Care Pulse for the second year in a row! We have also won the Provider of Choice and Employer of Choice awards for the past 6 years, and the Leader in Experience award for the past4 years. The HCAOA represents over 4,500 homecare agencies in the US, providing members with resources and education to better serve their seniors and clients.
We are honored to have received the 2019 Top Work Places award from Knoxville News Sentinel. We value our Care Managers, Care Partners, and Office Staff greatly. Without them, we could not provide the best caregiving experience in Knoxville!
